Distracted minds during worship or service
When we were little my Dad would give us jotters or notebooks to write down what the preacher said, when we got home, He asked to see what we wrote down and what we understood form the preaching of that day. It helped reinforce that teaching. Have you noticed that after service on Sunday, today is Monday can you even recollect what the topic was? writing has been shown to help with recollecting what was taught, it helps you to stay focus on the word that is being said, because you are trying to grab enough to understand and write down. when was the last time you wrote anything down in church? do you just shout rhema, clap and after the service you say it was a great service, sermon was hot, but you can't recollect what it was all about. It takes intentional and deliberate actions to really listen, study and letting the word sink into our hearts. if you think you have heard it all, you would not learn something new, because I have noticed time and time again, that even scriptures I have heard or read about before will produce new insights that I missed the first time around.
